Outcome
Barclays Wealth acquired the historic former tobacco factory at 18–20 Chemin de Canal, Geneva, in 2009 to establish their new base of operations in the financial district. As part of the interiors team’s work on the project, I was tasked with developing a concept that would showcase not only the long-standing history of Barclays—dating back to 1650—but also the heritage of the building itself and the city of Geneva.
After conducting research into each of these themes, I proposed the creation of a large-scale history wall, providing a cohesive and visually engaging way to highlight key milestones across all three narratives.
The final artwork, measuring 3.6m wide by 2.7m high, was produced on canvas and now features prominently in the building’s reception area, offering visitors an immediate sense of place, continuity, and legacy.
